HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) – Texas is scheduled to carry out its second execution of the year when condemned inmate Frank Moore is put to death tonight for a double slaying.Moore, who’s 47, insists he should be spared from a trip to the Texas death chamber because he said the shootings were in self-defense.

He says he was being robbed and the shootings aren’t related to gangs or drugs.

He’s to die by lethal injection for gunning down 23-year-old Samuel Boyd, and 15-year-old Patrick Clark, outside a San Antonio bar exactly 15 years ago today.
